At Leigh Academies Trust, we are seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join our established and supportive finance team, based at Leigh Academy Bearsted. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and effective financial operations across several of our academies in the Maidstone area.

Working closely with Principals, Finance Managers, and colleagues across the Trust, you’ll help provide a high-quality financial support service that enables our schools to focus on what matters most – giving every young person the best possible education.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support to principals and finance managers across the Trust.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and budgeting for multiple academies.
• Collaborate with teams to enable schools to focus on educational outcomes.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills, prioritise tasks, and uphold accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience working in the education sector is highly advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritise.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Benefits & Salary

• Salary: £26,354 per annum (£29,146 full‑time equivalent).
• Permanent, 37 hours per week (term time + 3 weeks inset).
