Teaching Assistant in Guildford

Overview

Leigh Academy Milestone is looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our special educational needs (SEN) team to support students with profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in supporting children with learning difficulties or considering a career in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and medical needs of students.
• Support students in swimming, PE, and outdoor activities such as Forest School.
• Contribute to a variety of activities as part of a fantastic and supportive team.

Employment details

• Contract: permanent
• Hours: 31.75 hours per week (term time + 1 week inset)
• Salary: £18,552 – £19,825 per annum

Qualifications and experience

• GCSEs in English and maths (or equivalent).
• Experience working with young people; enthusiasm, focus, and resilience are key.
