We're looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join the North team and build the research practice that helps us ship more intuitive, usable product experiences. In this role, you will establish the infrastructure, methods, and engagement model that gives teams the right signal at the right stage of product development. You'll work closely with designers, PMs, and cross‑functional partners to embed evidence‑driven thinking into how we scope, build, and evaluate the work we ship.

As the first dedicated researcher on North, you'll own the research practice end‑to‑end and play a key role in shaping how the team understands and responds to user needs. You'll work on a product that is defining how enterprises put AI to work, and your contributions will directly influence whether users can adopt and get value from it.

What You'll Do

  • Design and operationalize the systems, frameworks, and infrastructure that keep research organized, accessible, and actionable across the org, and that empower teams to drive research initiatives independently with confidence.
  • Lead complex research initiatives end‑to‑end: scoping the approach, recruiting participants, facilitating sessions, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations that teams can act on.
  • Support lighter‑weight research projects through a consultation model, advising designers and PMs on their approach and reviewing outputs to ensure quality and rigour.
  • Empower our FDE team with UXR tools and tactics for capturing structured feedback from customer engagements and distilling it into product‑relevant insights for roadmap planning.
  • Support PMs in defining measurable hypotheses at project kickoff and making sense of analytics post‑delivery.

You're Likely a Good Fit If You Have

  • UX Research Experience: 7+ years of experience conducting research across a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, with a track record of translating findings into product decisions that moved outcomes. You know how to match the method to the moment and can demonstrate the impact of your work.
  • Systems thinking: Experience establishing research infrastructure from scratch, whether that’s repositories, templates, research ops, or engagement models. You build frameworks, templates, and processes that force multiply your impact across the org.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership: A collaborative approach to product development, working closely with designers, PMs, and engineers to ensure the right insights make their way into the product lifecycle at the right moments.
  • Communication and Synthesis: Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences alike. Skilled at distilling complex signal into crisp, actionable recommendations and presenting research in a way that builds confidence rather than ambiguity.
  • Enterprise Experience: Experience working with enterprise customers and comfortable engaging directly with end users, whether running in‑person research sessions, customer interviews, or on‑site engagements.
  • Technical Literacy: Familiar with complex concepts in AI and enterprise software and can use that knowledge to design effective research in technically dense product spaces. Familiarity with AI products or agentic systems is a plus!

If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply! We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form, and we will work together to meet your needs.

We may use AI‑enabled tools to screen and assess applicants against the criteria for this position. This helps our recruiters identify potentially qualified candidates, but it doesn't limit the applications our recruiters may review or consider.
