What the job involves
We’re hiring a People Business Partner to help scale Cohere through a major phase of growth. This is not a traditional “policy and process” HRBP role. We’re looking for commercially minded People partners who want to work closely with leaders and teams to help build high‑performing organisations inside one of the world’s leading AI companies.
Cohere is scaling quickly across a globally distributed environment with both remote employees and physical offices. We need PBPs who are energised by ambiguity, growth, and helping leaders operate more effectively as the company scales.
You’ll partner closely with leaders across different functions on organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, performance, talent strategy, and team health during a period of intense scale. We’re still evolving parts of our People infrastructure and operating model, so this is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building, improving processes, and operating in environments where not everything is fully mature yet.
Areas you’ll typically support:
- Org design — scaling teams and organisational structures
- Leadership support — coaching managers and supporting leadership capability
- Talent strategy — performance, retention, and talent discussions
- Team effectiveness — organisational health and engagement
- Employee experience — onboarding, retention, and team support
- People team scale — helping evolve the broader People function
