Engineering Program Manager, North
Position Overview
We\’re seeking an Engineering Program Manager to strengthen our North operations and drive execution excellence across our product portfolio. This role will work closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project lifecycle management and operational efficiency.

North is Cohere\’s cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI. It offers a secure and customizable environment, allowing companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. North integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, providing a trusted platform that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications.
As an Engineering Program Manager, you will:

Establish and scale foundational processes that allow North\’s teams to execute better and faster across our growing platform

Partner directly with North leadership and Members of Technical Staff on efforts to design, develop and improve North\’s core capabilities and research bets

Run cross-functional programs, collaborating and coordinating with Product, Engineering, Design, and Customer Success teams on delivering features on time and within scope, establishing feedback loops, and optimize resource distribution across competing priorities

Map out dependencies and risks across the North ecosystem, ensuring smooth cross-functional execution while communicating status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Troubleshoot cross-team challenges and build dependable partnerships both within and outside the North organization

Constantly seek to improve communication flow of priorities, ideas, and progress throughout all layers of the organization

Manage project tracking tools, Linear triage, team workflows, and facilitate cross-functional planning sessions

Respond quickly to program-level changes, clarifying new scope and marshaling resources in response to evolving customer and market priorities
You may be a good fit if you:

Have 3+ years as an Engineering Program Manager or Technical Program Manager, with demonstrated experience in startup or high-growth environments

Have a resourceful, can-do attitude and thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where you can wear multiple hats and do whatever it takes to get things done

Are comfortable with low structure, high impact situations where you can roll up your sleeves, be pragmatic, and function at both tactical and strategic levels to drive results, with proven ability to build processes, teams, or programs from scratch

Have strong bias for action and can move quickly from problem identification to solution implementation

Have experience with project management tools (Linear, Jira, etc.) and can effectively manage workflows and processes

Have excellent communication skills for interfacing with both technical teams and business stakeholders across all levels of the organization

(Preferred) Have experience with AI/ML products or technical platforms
