We are looking to recruit a Zero Hour Prescription Delivery Driver to work on a permanent contract at our 731 branch at Mannock Medical Centre, Irthlingborough Road, Wellingborough, NN8 1LT.

Branch opening hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:30. The role requires flexibility within these times, excellent people skills, and a professional service standard to customers and Pharmacy Teams.

Reimbursement for mileage: 42p per mile up to 10,000 miles; after that 25p per mile (HMRC guidelines). Fuel receipts required for each visit; mileage claim submitted weekly.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing, and residential homes promptly and conscientiously, maintaining high customer service standards and representing the Cohens brand.
  • Must work under pressure to meet designated delivery times.
Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills to plan and print daily routes in branch before deliveries.
  • Must bring own vehicle; personal insurance must allow business use. Company will contribute to business insurance premium upon proof of increased premium.
Other responsibilities:
  • May assist with PR exercises to increase business.

Discretionary bonus scheme, 4 weeks paid holiday, plus statutory holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees), EAP provided by BUPA, pension contributions, regulatory training where required, free uniform – black polo shirt, black fleece, high-vis vest, high-vis jacket (employees supply their own smart dark trousers and shoes/boots).
