We are recruiting for a Qualified Pharmacy Accuracy Checker (AC) or a Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our team in Childwall, Liverpool, working Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break each day.
A Qualified Accuracy Checker (AC) is a registered pharmacy professional responsible for the final accuracy check of dispensed medicines to ensure patient safety, operating under GPhC standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying dispensed items against prescriptions
- Managing dispensary workflows
- Ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.
As a Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician (ACT), you will be registered with the GPhC and have an Accredited Checking Technician qualification to perform final accuracy checks on dispensed items. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring legal, safe, and accurate dispensing
- Managing inventory
- Supervising support staff, working under the indirect supervision of a pharmacist
Previous management/supervisor experience is beneficial but not essential. You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice, and excellent product knowledge and services. You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your branch to do the same.
The utmost attention to detail is required in both of these roles along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role. Proof of your professional qualifications is essential.
