Our training:

  • We have motivated, proactive, experienced tutors, offering excellent training in all aspects of pharmacy practice throughout your placement.
  • You will receive regular contact and guidance from our Programme Manager, who will support your journey and keep you on track.
  • Training will be provided by a third-party training provider covering a range of topics that will benefit your learning.
  • You will benefit from a combination of training events, covering audit work, calculation practice and exam revision sessions.
  • All aspects of the foundation standards and competencies will be covered, with emphasis on management skills, communication, and assertiveness, together with teaching you the vital clinical skills you will need to talk to and advise your patients.
  • We will encourage you to build a professional relationship with GPs, nurses and other health care professionals, spending time observing their day-to-day work.

Your learning experience just doesn't end here. We also facilitate additional activities for all our students including:

  • Advanced and Enhanced services training day
  • Prescription Pricing Division visit
  • Opportunity to take part in a 2-week cross sector placement - allowing you to broaden your clinical GP and hospital experience
  • You will take part in 1 formally delivered classroom session each month, delivered at Head Office, Bolton, BL6 4SA.
