We are currently recruiting this unique opportunity to work as a Personal Assistant, supporting the Directors of a family-owned business based in Lostock, Bolton. Cohens Chemist is part of the Cohens Group and is regarded as a well-loved brand name within the community pharmacy industry. The family-owned organisation was established in 1980 and is now one of Britain's leading pharmacy chains, who pride themselves on supporting the local communities.
We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to work the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10.00am to 3.00pm (25 hours per week)
The ideal candidate will have the relevant experience to support with the following types of activities:
- Diary management
- Preparation of paperwork/reports for meetings that the director attends
- Clerical and administration duties, including telephone support
- Preparing correspondence including letters and the drafting of general replies
- Forming and maintaining appropriate documentation including property administration/management and tax returns
- Assist with any project work or other ad-hoc activity as required
- Provide a service that is in line with the Directors' work habits and personal preferences
- Organising any ad-hoc travel arrangements
- General administration duties
Requirements of Key Skills:

- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to multitask and be comfortable with needing to handle several tasks at the same time
- Must have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly with creating and using Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
- Flexible approach to workload
- Previous experience of completing tax returns would be advantageous
In this role, you will need to work with absolute confidentiality and discretion as you will be trusted with sensitive information on a regular basis. Flexibility will also be an important part of the role as some holiday and absence cover may be required. In order to perform your duties, it would be beneficial for you to hold a driving license.
