11728 42.5-hour Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician - Permanent contract We are looking to recruit a 42.5-hour Qualified Checking Technician to work in the onsite hub pharmacy at Head Office, Lynstock House, Lynstock Way, Lostock, Bolton, BL6 4SA.

The proposed shift pattern is: Monday 06:00-15:00 (30 minutes unpaid break) Tuesday 06:00-15:00 (30 minutes unpaid break) Wednesday 06:00-15:00 (30 minutes unpaid break) Thursday 06:00-15:00 (30 minutes unpaid break) Friday 06:00-15:00 (30 minutes unpaid break) As a Qualified Pharmacy Checking Technician you will lead the dispensing activities through dispensing and checking prescription items quickly and accurately.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the department.

Evidence of completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT Qualification) and registration with the GPh C is essential.

You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice and excellent product knowledge and services.

You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your department to do the same.

The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role.

What is an onsite hub pharmacy?

An onsite hub pharmacy is a centralised, mostly automated, facility that handles the dispensing and assembly of prescriptions on behalf of circa 250 branches.

The branch receives the prescription, while the "hub" picks, labels, and assembles the medication, often using large-scale robotics.

The assembled medication is returned to the branch, typically on a next-day service, for patient collection.

This role requires you to have the ability to work standing and move at a fast pace around the department.

This role is not customer facing, however you will liaise with customers at times over the telephone and branch personnel.
