An opportunity to lead multiple Cogstate projects, ensuring delivery of Cogstate Services, with a strong interest in the pharmaceutical development process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global clinical trials across all phases.
  • May actively mentor other project management team members and clinical staff.
  • Facilitate team building and communication.
  • With support from supervisor, request resources across platform lines and ensure team members follow pre-determined hours allocated in budget.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to target gross profit consistently.
  • Accurate and timely financial forecasting and invoicing.
  • Assess need for change in scope and lead Change Order Process.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the broader impact of invoicing on company financials.

Experience managing projects in Start-Up, Conduct, or Close-Out phases (can be over multiple projects).

  • Develop in-depth understanding of Cogstate service delivery within operational, financial, and regulatory constraints.
  • Able to find gaps and work with the team to fill them.
  • Proactively manage risks with confidence, demonstrating strong leadership in guiding team members through challenges and making decisive, well-informed decisions.
  • Attend investigator meetings (as needed) and ensure Cogstate is well represented.
  • Foster team collaboration and effective communication in a virtual environment, seamlessly connecting teams across multiple geographic locations.
  • With supervision, analyze reports for project hours and budget utilization and make course corrections in conjunction with Operations Line Managers.
  • Ability to review Work Orders and determine deliverables and timelines for projects.
  • Maintain project narrative for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on service delivery and progress.
  • Lead internal project team utilizing available tools and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to motivate, influence, and drive projects toward outcomes and deliverables, ensuring the team is on task and meets the highest standards of service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, scientific or a technical discipline (psychology, nursing, biology, sociology, computer science or engineering). Master’s preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous CRO experience.
  • 4+ years Project Management experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or CRO environment.
  • Budget management experience.

  • Able to answer majority of study questions around process, scope, budget independently.

  • Strong grasp of study deliverables and timelines, with ability to manage competing priorities - ensuring that all deliverables are met on time with adequate communication; peak periods do not result in other studies being ignored.
