Job Type: Permanent; Full Time
Location: Kirkburton, Huddersfield (Head Office) but role involves a large proportion of global travel
Salary: £28,200.00 to £32,200.00 per annum starting salary, dependent on experience (Once fully trained, salary can reach up to £45,000.00 per annum).
Additions: Once sufficiently trained the right candidate will become eligible for a company vehicle and bonus scheme (grinding bonus).
Expenses: When staying away from home; hotels will be paid for by the company. A daily breakfast and evening meal allowance of £25 will be paid monthly + Overseas Allowance.
The Role: A fantastic opportunity has become available for a technician to join an established international flooring/construction company who is willing to invest in you. This unique position will provide the right candidate with an opportunity to develop their skills whilst travelling around the world.
The role will involve operating and maintaining the Laser Grinder, a specialist floor grinding machine exclusive to the CoGri Group of companies. The right candidate will start as a Trainee Technician and move through the training tiers which are dependent on experience and development. Salary is also tiered and linked with this progression. After training, the successful candidate will be the leader of a two-person team, running and maintaining projects in the UK and overseas.
Part of the role will be liaising with clients and completing an element of administrative paperwork including maintenance manuals, mileage sheets, end of contract reports and expenses. Therefore, good communication skills are essential for the role.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, quick learner who has a desire to develop their skills and become the best they can be.
Essential Skills and experience in any of the following:
- Liaising with clients
- Full driving licence
- Experience of working with tools, machinery or construction equipment
- Well organised
Any experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
- Mechanical experience
- Flooring industry experience
- Forklift truck licence
- Speaking a second language
- Experience in the use of optical levelling equipment
- CSCS Card – the company can assist with acquiring this card
We'd like you to be:
- Flexible and willing to travel at short notice and work away from home for up to 6 weeks at a time
- Willing to learn and take instruction
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally
- A self motivator and a quick learner
