Cognizant is seeking a Workday Financials Accounting Center & Prism Consultant with Financial Management systems experience and exposure to Accounting Center and Prism Analytics. As a Consultant, you will support clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday Financials programme, with a focus on data-driven accounting, reporting, and analytics solutions. This role is suited to individuals with a strong mix of functional finance knowledge and technical/data aptitude, who are capable of configuring Workday solutions to meet business requirements while developing deeper expertise in Accounting Center and Prism capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in Workday Financials Accounting Center and Prism Analytics, including design, configuration, testing, and support.
- Support the design and configuration of Accounting Center solutions, including accounting rules, journal generation, and data sourcing.
- Assist in building and maintaining Prism datasets and data pipelines to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Work with senior consultants and clients to recommend solutions aligned to business requirements, timelines, and system capabilities.
- Participate in client workshops and design sessions, gathering requirements and supporting configuration decisions based on best practices.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate and auditable outputs.
- Partner with Finance and IT stakeholders to align source data with Workday accounting and reporting structures.
- Assist with testing, validation, and issue resolution across implementation and post-go-live phases.
- Provide ongoing support to clients, helping optimise Accounting Center and Prism solutions as business needs evolve.
- Perform multiple tasks under guidance while keeping project teams and stakeholders informed of progress.
- Actively participate in training and internal knowledge sharing to build expertise in Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and Prism.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of Workday Financials or ERP experience, with exposure to accounting, reporting, or data transformation.
- Experience supporting implementations or enhancements of ERP or SaaS financial systems.
- Foundational understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Exposure to Accounting Center and/or Prism Analytics.
- Experience working with data mapping, transformation, or reporting tools highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and functional stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good working knowledge of SQL is preferable.
- Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed.
