We are looking for a skilled Cloud Platform Network Engineer & DevOps Specialist to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will own the design, deployment, and governance of secure, scalable Azure cloud network infrastructure. You will work closely with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade platforms, define network standards, and drive automation through Infrastructure as Code practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and deliver Azure network architecture across multiple subscriptions and environments, including hub-and-spoke topologies using Azure VNETs and VNET peering.
  • Architect and implement site-to-site and point-to-site VPN solutions, supporting secure connectivity for on-premises, partner, and remote users.
  • Deliver and manage ExpressRoute connectivity, including circuit design, BGP routing, and failover strategies.
  • Build and maintain network infrastructure using Terraform, including VNETs, subnets, route tables, NSGs, VPN gateways, Azure Firewalls, and private endpoints.
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules to standardise Azure networking and connectivity deployments across the organisation.
  • Design and manage Azure DNS and Private DNS zones, integrating with Infoblox DDI for centralised IP address management.
  • Integrate and manage Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls within Azure hub networks, administering policies via Panorama.
  • Implement and manage Cloudflare for edge security, DNS, WAF, and DDoS mitigation.
  • Support Zscaler integrations for secure internet access and Zero Trust remote connectivity.
  • Define network security standards and governance aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Support cloud migration projects, ensuring network security, resilience, and performance.
  • Lead incident response and troubleshooting for complex network and cloud connectivity issues.
  • Act as technical authority for cloud networking and mentor engineers across cloud and network teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Cloud & Networking
    • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, route tables, peering, private endpoints).
    • Proven experience designing and deploying hub-and-spoke network architectures on Azure.
    • Expertise in VPN Gateway configuration (S2S, P2S, certificate-based, and Azure AD authentication).
    • Experience with ExpressRoute circuit design, routing configuration, and failover planning.
    • BGP routing knowledge across Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, and on-premises devices.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation
    • Proficiency in Terraform for Azure infrastructure provisioning and module development.
    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
    • Familiarity with DevOps tooling and practices for cloud platform delivery.
  • DNS, DDI & Security
    • Hands-on experience with Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM in hybrid environments.
    • Experience managing Azure DNS and Private DNS zones.
    • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama policy management.
    • Working knowledge of Cloudflare (WAF, DNS, DDoS) and Zscaler Zero Trust solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good experience in cloud networking, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-700, AZ-104, AZ-305) are highly desirable.
  • Relevant networking certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) are advantageous.
  • Terraform Associate certification is a plus.
