Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) – Non-functional Testing Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineering and assurance. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
- Working hands-on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
- Using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
- Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
- Identify common accessibility issues and to advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.
Key Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years industry experience working in accessibility testing roles.
- Demonstrated success working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Experience conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Experience testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
- Proficient in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
