We are seeking a skilled and innovative Google Cloud Hosted Web Application Architect to join our team. The primary responsibility is to design, develop, and manage robust, secure, and scalable web applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale web applications on Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to ensure the architectural design of applications is scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Provide expertise on Google Cloud services, including Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Functions.
- Develop and coordinate cloud architecture and drive cloud strategies.
- Analyse application portfolios, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and make recommendations for deployment in the cloud.
- Create strategies and plans for the integration of multiple IT systems and technologies with the cloud.
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls.
- Participate in all phases of technological development, including testing and launching of cloud applications.
- Document and explain complex cloud architectures to stakeholders, developers, and non-technical personnel.
- Research new cloud technologies and services to stay updated in the field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions, preferably with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and architecture.
- Proficiency in cloud services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Functions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms and tools.
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
