As a Technology Architect, you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Apigee to design and implement robust API solutions. With a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, API security, and performance optimisation, you will ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation within telecom domain projects, contributing to business success and societal impact.
Responsibilities
- API Architecture & Design: Design and implement scalable API solutions using Google Cloud Platform and Apigee to meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Apigee API Hub and Apigee Hybrid into existing systems.
- Cloud & Connectivity: Oversee deployment and management of Anthos Service Mesh to enhance service connectivity and security. Lead cloud infrastructure projects ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
- API Management & Optimisation: Provide technical guidance on Apigee OPDK and Apigee X for optimised API management and performance. Develop and maintain Apigee Developer Portal and Apigee Edge for streamlined API access and lifecycle management.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols including OAuth, SAML, and Google Cloud Armor to safeguard API endpoints and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in API development.
- Testing & Validation: Utilise Swagger and Postman for efficient REST API testing and validation.
- Development & Integration: Work with JSON, REST API, JavaScript, and PHP to enhance API functionality and user experience.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with telecom domain experts to tailor API solutions for industry-specific needs. Provide training and mentorship to team members on Apigee and cloud technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging API technologies and recommend enhancements. Stay updated with latest trends in API management and cloud architecture.
- Documentation: Document system architecture, design decisions, and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Google Apigee (Edge, Hybrid, OPDK, Apigee X)
- Strong knowledge of API Gateway, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java
- Experience with Anthos Service Mesh, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with API security standards, OAuth, JWT, SAML, and performance optimisation techniques
Certifications Required
- Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect
- Apigee Certified API Engineer
