We are looking for a passionate and analytical SAP Performance Engineer to join our growing NFT SAP practice in the UK. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, is deeply knowledgeable in SAP performance tuning, particularly with S/4HANA and is driven to optimize large-scale enterprise systems for scalability, resilience, and speed.

You will play a key role in analysing performance issues, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and designing robust solutions across SAP landscapes, with exposure to cutting-edge technologies like SAP BTP, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to diagnose and resolve SAP system performance challenges.
  • Design and execute performance benchmarking strategies for SAP S/4HANA and integrated systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations on system tuning, database optimization, and workload distribution.
  • Conduct end-to-end performance tests and simulate real-world scenarios using tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.
  • Use profiling and tracing tools (e.g., SAP ST03N, STAD, ST12, HANA PlanViz) to identify and isolate bottlenecks.
  • Work on continuous performance monitoring and integrate performance test cycles into CI/CD pipelines.
Primary Skills Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on performance engineering experience focused on optimizing core SAP systems, including ECC and S/4HANA.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA performance tuning, ABAP, SQL, HANA DB, and application server metrics.
  • Proficient with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner Enterprise and Apache JMeter.
  • Strong understanding of SQL query optimization, memory management, and workload distribution in SAP HANA.
  • Proven experience with performance trace tools like ST12, ST05, SAT, HANA Studio PlanViz.
  • Experience in analysing dump logs, database statistics, and job performance metrics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and optimization mindset.
Secondary Skills (Desired):
  • Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), AWS, or Google Cloud Platform for performance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of JVM tuning, Docker, and Kubernetes for containerized SAP workloads.
  • Exposure to mobile application performance testing.
  • Programming experience in Python, ABAP, Java, or C++ for automation or scripting performance tests.
  • Understanding of algorithms, complexity (Big O notation), and scalable design principles.
  • Ability to create data visualizations and dashboards for performance reporting.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings clearly.
