This is an excellent opportunity for Network Automation Engineer Role professionals to be part of leading-edge technology projects. Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Services Practice provides end-to-end solutions covering architecture, design, implementation, management, and on-going support across the entire enterprise technology infrastructure. Our services include a spectrum of management, consulting, and systems integration services to help our clients maximize value in their infrastructure resources, while optimizing infrastructure performance and cost.
The role will require minimum 4 days working from office.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible.
- Implement and manage global monitoring and network management systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize TCP/IP stack and application protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP, NTP, FTP).
- Manage and support networking protocols and concepts including BGP, OSPF, VRF, NAT, clustering, high availability, load balancing, and QoS.
- Support enterprise LAN and WAN technologies, including SD-WAN solutions.
- Implement and maintain network security solutions (firewalls, VPN, web proxy, NAC, IPS/IDS).
- Deploy and manage enterprise wireless solutions (preferably Aruba).
- Support and integrate public cloud networking concepts in AWS and Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
- Document network designs, procedures, and policies.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for scalability and security.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in automation scripting and tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible).
- Hands-on experience with global monitoring and network management systems.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP stack and related application protocols (DHCP, DNS, HTTP, SNMP, NTP, FTP).
- Proficiency in networking protocols: BGP, OSPF, VRF, NAT, QoS, high availability, clustering, and load balancing.
- Experience with LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, VPN, web proxy, NAC, IPS/IDS).
- Knowledge of enterprise wireless solutions (Aruba experience preferred).
- Familiarity with public cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, AWS, Azure, etc.) will be an added advantage.
