The Cognizant Workday Practice is seeking a Workday Senior Principal Consultant with experience in Learning, Talent and/or Recruiting. The Senior Principal Consultant will provide expert guidance between the business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the HCM, Learning, Talent, and Recruiting functional workstreams for clients, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Reinforces company policies and procedures to others.
- Helps others by driving, organizing, and assigning tasks within a project workstream to drive efficient completion and achieve project goals.
- Guide the client through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
- Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday HCM solution.
- Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, the project team, and the Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project.
- Willingness to take a leadership position on a project, or as a Cognizant or Workday product Partner Lead and/or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
- Display your hands-on expertise of the software, including loading client data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
- Utilize your technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates.
- Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
- Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
- Workday certification in HCM, Learning, Talent, and/or Recruiting.
- 5+ years of Workday HCM functional implementation experience required.
- Proven track record of successfully leading Workday HCM implementations for various clients.
- Experience gathering business requirements, designing, and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed to client sites.
