Devops Engineer – Apigee

We are seeking a highly skilled Devops Engineer – Apigee with strong expertise in AWS, Azure DevOps, and Apigee. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development and operations by automating workflows, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure software delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, API management, and continuous integration and deployment practices.

Candidate should be SC Cleared/SC Eligible

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and monitor solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS, ECR, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub workflows.
• Design, develop, and manage applications tailored to business requirements.
• Execute and manage the end-to-end application lifecycle using Apigee Edge and X-API strategy.
• Perform API strategy execution, provide technical support, and generate insights through analytical reports.
• Manage infrastructure automation, monitoring, and optimization to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency, scalability, and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and integration issues promptly.
• Maintain clear documentation for builds, deployments, and system processes.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud tools and architecture, including deploying microservices using ECS, ECR, and Fargate.
• Experience with Python scripting and Docker for automation and containerization.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of build and deployment methodologies for distributed systems.
• Experience with enterprise-grade web applications and system integration.
• Strong knowledge of the Apigee platform or any APM (API Management) platform and its components.
• Ability to generate custom analytical reports for API consumption and error tracking.
• Familiarity with API security and access control mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, JWT, etc.).
• Proficient in API design best practices, performance optimization, and monitoring techniques.
