Automation Engineer – Switzerland Location: Switzerland Company: Cognizant Cognizant is currently executing a number of projects for large Biotech and Pharma clients. We require a DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our project team in Switzerland, where you will be involved in commissioning and on-site support activities. What will you be doing: * Generate Functional Specifications, Design and Test Specifications for Recipes, Phase Sequences, Equipment Modules, Control Modules, customized logic, and HMI Graphics based on customer User Requirement Specifications (URS). * Configure and test Recipes, Phases, Equipment Modules, Control Logic, and Interlock Schemes based on Design and Test Specifications. * Lead teams of Engineers and manage project resources, schedule task assignments, interact with clients, coordinate among different vendors, and liaise between front office and remote engineering teams. * Upgrade batch processes on the DeltaV platform for pharmaceutical clients. * Interact with customers to review Design Specifications and Test Specifications. * Lead teams for Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification (SAT) at client sites. * Participate in site commissioning activities. What you will bring: * 3+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience. * L8 Degree or Qualification in Engineering/Life Sciences. * Knowledge of S88 / Batch DeltaV. * Expert understanding of all project lifecycle phases and tasks. * Demonstrable project management skills (scope, cost, schedule management). * Ability to liaise directly with clients on design issues. * Proven track record of leading complete projects. * Ability to work independently. * Proficient in spoken and written English. * Thorough understanding of system installation and rebuilding.
