About the role
As a Consulting Region Leader Banking & Financial Services UK&I, you will make an impact by expanding our consulting business further with our existing UK&I BFS clients, who are already benefitting from several Cognizant services and solutions, while at the same time establishing and growing business in those areas where we currently do not have a substantive presence. You will be a valued member of the BFS Consulting Management team and work collaboratively with your team, other stakeholders and clients.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the BFS Consulting Region Leader, bringing your areas of domain expertise to Cognizant’s clients, as we engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life.
- Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, evolving regulatory contexts and the feasibility of transformation goals.
- Establish and nurture relationships with cross-functional client executives and strive to serve as their trusted advisor.
- Leverage industry expertise and market sensibilities to propose forward-leaning refinement or extension of Cognizant’s Advisory Capabilities required to drive adoption in target accounts.
- Support and develop a long-term vision for expanding Cognizant’s footprint in target accounts that simultaneously leverages and increases Consulting’s impact on revenue growth.
- Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead, which means operating with Personal Leadership, Organizational Leadership, and Business Leadership.
What you need to have to be considered:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (engineering or science related degree preferred but not mandatory).
- 20+ years of experience in establishing and building consulting presence across divisions in one or more UK&I financial institutions.
- Experience selling business advisory/consulting services for IT services firms, Management Consulting firms or Big 4 Accounting firms.
- A successful history of setting and achieving account-based engagement targets, controlling budgets, managing forecasts, and driving a matrixed organization of professional consultants in winning business and achieving financial targets.
- Knowledge of current and anticipated industry developments relevant to the UK&I Banking market.
- Ability to personally engage senior executives in discussions regarding domain specific business, operational, architectural, and regulatory issues to be addressed when optimizing and transforming business and IT operations.
- Ability to structure consulting engagements that effectively pull through other Cognizant Technology and Operations services offerings.

Onsite Work model
