Client Relationship Managers are key contributors to the commercial side of Cognizant Business. The CRM will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. They support and report into the Client Partner and act as business owners for assigned accounts, leading the day-to-day activities and P&L of these accounts. The CRM works with delivery teams to enhance backlog, optimize the resource mix and navigate scope changes to ensure client expectations are met. They work towards establishing a positive client experience by conducting client meetings. A CRM's shared measures are margin, revenue, client satisfaction & employee retention.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders
- Understand the client, issues, and priorities
- Work with clients to define their problems and co-create solutions
- Identify opportunities, make proactive proposals to the client in line with the account strategy
- Drive RFPs / proactive bids with regards to renewals, extensions, and expansion
- Business Development - Creates opportunities and involves the right teams to position Cognizant credentials, assets and value to the client and qualifies, prioritises and assigns opportunities to deliver the highest percentage of wins
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the clients
- Responsible for backlog growth including renewals and extensions of current engagements
- Lead the project teams where needed to ensure they understand the client environment
- Relationship Management - Cultivates long-term client relationships and aims to broaden Cognizant’s relationship footprint with key clients within the account
What you need to have to be considered
- Excellent ability and aptitude to influence and communicate effectively with business stakeholders up to the C-Suite
- Experience of working in a similar role within Life Sciences and an understanding of how Life Sciences industry is evolving and key trends
- Experience managing Client P&L of $15 - 20M including reporting and metric assessment for the account
- Proven track record to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments
- Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the skills to identify strategic solutions to business problems that have enterprise-wide implications
- Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of various engagement models in the IT Service and platform space
- POV on how trends in Life Sciences are impacting IT spend and impact of AI in these organisations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills are required
- Travel across the UK to various client sites is expected for this role. This is a hybrid work model.
