Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) – Non-functional Testing Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineering and assurance. As enterprises simplify, modernise and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality engineering and assurance is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. Key Responsibilities
- Working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
- Working hands-on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
- Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
- Identify common accessibility issues and to advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.
Key Skills and Experience
- 3+ years industry experience working in accessibility testing roles.
- Demonstrated success working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Experience conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Experience testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
