At the Cognizant SNBG, we are looking for a talented ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant to join our team in the UK! The Cognizant ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant has extensive knowledge and experience in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow Platform. Senior Technical Consultants define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications to support business requirements. The role demands strong analytical skills, as well as high research, design, documentation, and software modification capabilities throughout the production lifecycle. Our Senior Technical Consultants are proactive in providing mentoring, support, and guidance to Junior Developers and operate with a high level of autonomy. Due to their outstanding skill set and decision-making authority, Senior Developers often act as Project Team Leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key project processes such as platform architecture documentation, integration documentation, work effort estimation, and advanced development tasks.
  • Attend, participate in, and occasionally lead Scrum meetings.
  • Translate requirements, stories, and mock-ups into fully functional features by collaborating closely with the implementation team.
  • Ensure technical development and configuration meet the highest standards, providing guidance to Junior and Mid-level Developers.
  • Provide timely updates to Project Leads to facilitate proactive communication with clients.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes and the maturation of portfolios, capabilities, and best practices, aligned with customer needs.
  • Fill technical or process roles within projects as needed.
  • Lead, educate, mentor, and develop Cognizant resources assigned to projects.
  • Assist in scoping new opportunities and designing tools and techniques for efficient delivery.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for technical decision-making within projects.
  • Partner with HR to conduct technical interviews and support recruitment efforts.
