Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a dynamic combined role as Functional Tester, Business Analyst and PMO. This multifaceted position merges specialist functional testing and business analysis responsibilities—particularly with regard to UK financial policy requirements across primary and secondary markets—alongside core project management office (PMO) support. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our systems and processes are compliant with relevant UK financial regulations, providing business analysis to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements, and supporting project governance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, review, and execute functional test plans for new and existing applications, ensuring alignment with UK financial regulations and policy requirements in both primary and secondary markets.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and compliance issues through to resolution, with a focus on regulatory adherence.
  • Perform functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required, specifically evaluating processes and outputs against UK financial policy standards.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, compliance teams, and end-users to clarify requirements and ensure solutions meet regulatory expectations and quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive test documentation and clear reports, highlighting any policy or compliance gaps identified during testing.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing processes and methodologies, maintaining a strong focus on regulatory changes and best practice within UK financial markets.
  • Gather, document, and analyse business and functional requirements from stakeholders across the business, ensuring clarity and alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current and target processes, identifying areas for improvement in compliance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Assist in the development and validation of business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and impact assessments relating to changes in UK financial policy.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, compliance, and project teams to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery of project goals.
  • Support the product team in planning, monitoring, and controlling project activities to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, such as schedules, status reports, and risk logs, with an emphasis on tracking regulatory milestones and compliance risks.
  • Assist in resource allocation, budget tracking, and project governance, ensuring regulatory requirements are considered in all phases.
  • Facilitate project meetings and workshops, taking minutes and following up on action items, including those relating to financial policy compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational project management standards and best practices, including those required for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide analytical support for decision-making and project performance monitoring, with a focus on regulatory and policy impact assessments.
