Responsibilities
- Working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
- Working hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
- Using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
- Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
- Identify common accessibility issues and advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.
Qualifications
- 3+ years industry experience working in accessibility testing roles.
- Demonstrated success working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Experience conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
- Experience testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
- Hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
- Proficient in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
- Strong understanding of ARIA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
- Collaborated with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
- Partnered with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
- Produced clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
- Ability to identify common accessibility issues and advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.
- Understands the impact of accessibility decisions on business performance and efficiency.
- Strong grasp of user‑centred design principles and their application to accessibility.
- In‑depth knowledge of accessibility testing and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to guide teams in resolving accessibility challenges.
