Responsibilities

  • Working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
  • Testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Working hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
  • Using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
  • Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
  • Produce clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
  • Identify common accessibility issues and advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years industry experience working in accessibility testing roles.
  • Demonstrated success working within development teams to test web applications for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Experience conducting accessibility testing of native and hybrid mobile applications (ideally).
  • Experience testing against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Hands on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText, Dragon, JAWS).
  • Proficient in using accessibility testing tools (e.g., axe Devtools, CCA, Siteimprove browser extension, Accessibility Insight for Web).
  • Strong understanding of ARIA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
  • Collaborated with UX/UI designers to embed accessibility into designs.
  • Partnered with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code for inclusivity.
  • Produced clear, actionable reports and guidance for development teams.
  • Ability to identify common accessibility issues and advise/guide individuals and team on accessibility best practice.
  • Understands the impact of accessibility decisions on business performance and efficiency.
  • Strong grasp of user‑centred design principles and their application to accessibility.
  • In‑depth knowledge of accessibility testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to guide teams in resolving accessibility challenges.
