COGNITY by Clement is a team of psychologists working in residential settings to aid care providers with clients' behavioural and psychological needs. Specializing in areas such as neurorehabilitation, stroke, acquired brain injury, learning disability, dementia, behaviours that challenge, anxiety, and depression. COGNITY provides a flexible case management solution to meet the unique needs of care settings and the individuals supported.

Doing it 'good' is not enough, so we pride ourselves on having great communication: inside the team, writing clear and easy-to-read reports, and external communications.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Psychologist located in Cambridgeshire. The Assistant Psychologist will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing cognitive therapy and low intensity therapies, analysing data, writing reports and other kind of communications, and meetings and communications to other members of the MDT.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • An upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology,
  • Good administrative skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Skills/Qualifications Desired:

  • Previous experience as Assistant Psychologist
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation contexts
  • MSc in Neuropsychology or related areas
  • Expertise in the use of Social Media

The successful candidate will be supported in weekly supervisions by the Clinical Psychologist as part of his Continuous Professional Development.

It is required to meet UKVI visa regulations. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK will have to satisfy UKVI regulations before they can be appointed.

This job description is indicative only and may be revised from time to time, and not less than annually, in consultation with the post holder and in the light of changing service demands, service priorities and other relevant circumstances and the post-holder’s personal appraisal. The post holder may also be required to provide cover in other areas following appropriate discussion.
