Overview
Cognito is looking for an Account Director to work directly with our Director of Brand Marketing. This is a hybrid role - an integrated account director with strong experience in social - with a genuine opportunity to grow and own a client portfolio. If you are outstanding, we want to hear from you. In addition to supporting existing client work, we want someone who lives and breathes social in the B2B space. Someone who can work with clients, inspire them and has their ear to the ground for “next”. Alongside the social media remit, this person will work directly with the Director of Brand Marketing across a wider portfolio of clients - supporting pitches, managing projects and helping to inspire and grow client relationships. Primary Responsibilities
- Supporting and driving integrated client briefs from brief to delivery – working across brand, content, campaign and digital; a truly integrated individual is needed.
- Taking ideas through from concept to execution, working with creative and strategy colleagues to develop and apply assets across channels.
- Active involvement in new business pitches – from research and territory development through to presentation.
- Client communication: keeping stakeholders fully informed, building trust and identifying opportunities to grow the relationship.
- Financial management: working with account and finance teams to control projects against brief, estimate and supplier.
- Own workflow for concurrent projects.
- Contributing to Cognito’s growing Brand Marketing capability, with exposure to global clients and briefs.
- Running campaigns: planning, executing and optimising targeted campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement and followership; presenting performance back to client with confidence.
- Owning and managing content calendars: project managing daily posts, community management and scheduling across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
- Creative: writing sharp copy and working with designers to produce content that cuts through in a noisy, highly competitive category.
- Analytics and reporting: presenting performance at monthly cadence and making the case for strategy adjustments or additional budget.
- Staying ahead: keeping a close eye on social platform developments and competitor activity in the trading space.
Requirements
- You will have genuine experience at senior account manager or account director level, with a track record across both social media and integrated marketing.
- You are an operator – someone who gets things done, holds a room with clients, and raises the quality of everything they touch.
- Proven account management experience in financial services, fintech or B2B professional services; this is imperative.
- Strong social media skills – organic strategy, content creation, community management and paid campaign execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong copy instincts.
- A sharp eye for quality in creative work – you know good when you see it.
- Confident with analytics and data-led decision making.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and delegate effectively.
- Proactive and motivated; someone who brings energy and ideas, not just delivery.
