About the job The Business Development Executive (Retained) will support the pursuit and strategic account expansion and development into new regions and new logo wins. This role is an incredible opportunity to have a huge impact on the growth of the company on a global scale and to drive the client acquisition sales strategy within Europe, and US. What You Will Be Doing: This function includes identifying and mapping out target clients (includes existing clients and new logos) then undertaking business development activities to engage and qualify target clients to win retained business. The activity covers the management of the full spectrum of a sales cycle; from need creation to business justification, bid creation to solution presentation and finally, negotiation and closure. Continual qualification of the engagement, embracing virtual teams, developing compelling client focused propositions using unique internal capabilities The activities will involve identifying potential leads by understanding any skills or capabilities gaps that a client may have, and then devising solutions. Working closely with the BU leaders across numerous functions, developing leads, opportunities and progressing solutions Using a consultative, strategic approach and your networking skills, you will drive new business through generating meetings and client introductions Research and identify potential leads within target markets and industries where skills shortages are known or emerging Engaging prospective clients and candidates to join networking events Target specific industry sectors where there are known skills shortages Utilise a combination of outbound prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking, to generate leads You will develop new opportunities, working with wider team of core services. Be an active and engaged part of the sales and Go To Market team, bring your energy Maintain an understanding of the market – competitors and products – and contribute this knowledge to team strategy Identify clients’ requirements and introduce appropriate solutions and proposals to deliver business results and solve resourcing challenges Build a pursuit plan, or target market to develop. Map out, network and cultivate key client engagement at the right level, in the sweet spot. Track all activity and engagement on Sales CRM Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted campaigns and messaging to resonate with specific buyer personas Track and analyse key metrics (skills demands) to measure the effectiveness of lead generation activities and make data-driven optimisation Capitalise and positively exploit the leads developed and provided by marketing campaigns / engagements Promote and present the proposition utilising all collateral available Identify key stakeholders/decision makers through email, phone calls, video calls, LinkedIn, and LinkedIn Insights to establish a portfolio of clients and network of contacts. Work with the marketing team to input into marketing campaign activities to ensure prospective clients receive thought leadership such as market reports, and white papers, in addition to invitations to seminars, breakfast and other industry / client roundtable events. Who You Are: Proven experience of winning & working retained business locally, or regionally. Proven solution selling experience within new logo sales A proven natural curiosity to learn, understand and execute new skills Proven track record of creating, managing, negotiating and closing deals. Strong understanding of the marketplace and the requirements of our clients.
