We are seeking a high-performing Sales / Business Development Manager (BDM) with strong experience in the Financial Services & Insurance (FSI) sector and a proven track record selling within a Microsoft-aligned business applications ecosystem.
This is a senior commercial role focused on driving net new business, expanding strategic accounts, and delivering complex transformation deals across enterprise financial services organisations.
Role OverviewYou will be responsible for leading enterprise sales and account growth initiatives within FSI clients, positioning AI-led and cloud transformation programmes powered by Microsoft technologies. The role operates within a mature go-to-market environment, with access to a strong existing pipeline and significant opportunity to build new enterprise relationships across the sector.
Key Responsibilities- Drive net new sales across Financial Services and Insurance organisations
- Own and grow existing strategic accounts, ensuring long-term value creation
- Convert a strong, multi-million-pound pipeline of existing opportunities
- Build new business through: Strategic frameworks and procurement channels, Industry networking, events, and partner ecosystems
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles from qualification to close
- Collaborate closely with enterprise stakeholders, including Microsoft field sellers and partners
- Shape and position AI-led transformation programmes aligned to customer priorities (risk, compliance, customer experience, operational efficiency)
- Proven success as a Business Development Manager / Enterprise Sales professional within FSI or similar regulated industries
- Strong experience selling Microsoft or comparable cloud solutions
- Deep sector knowledge across financial services, banking, insurance, or related regulated markets
- Strong track record of hunting new business and closing large, complex deals
- Experience selling end-to-end digital or cloud transformation programmes
- Established network and credibility within the FSI sector
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders, including C-level and procurement teams
- Strong value-based, consultative sales approach
- Access to a high-value, active multi-million-pound pipeline
- Strong support from a mature go-to-market and delivery organisation
