We are looking for an experienced Data & AI Sales Director to lead new business growth across a Microsoft Data & AI portfolio. This is a senior, revenue-driving role for a hunter who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities, and closing complex, high-value consultancy engagements. You will be responsible for building and executing a new business sales strategy, selling Microsoft Data & AI consulting services into enterprise and mid-market customers across FSI, Retail, Private Sector and MSP-led accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive net-new logo acquisition across Data, Analytics, AI and Modern Data Platform services
- Develop and execute a new business sales strategy aligned to Microsoft priorities
- Sell complex Data & AI consultancy engagements, including discovery, delivery and managed services
- Build strong relationships with C-level and senior technology stakeholders
- Leverage Microsoft Partner relationships, funding mechanisms and go-to-market programs
- Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation and close
- Collaborate closely with technical, pre-sales and delivery teams to shape compelling propositions
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a new business / hunter sales role
- Strong background selling Microsoft Data & AI solutions (e.g. Azure Data Platform, Analytics, AI, ML, Fabric, Synapse, Purview, etc.)
- Experience selling consultancy and professional services, not just software licensing
- Demonstrable success selling into FSI, Retail and Private/Public Sector organisations
- Previous experience working for a Microsoft Partner is essential
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Partner ecosystem, GTM motions and co-sell
- Commercially astute, target-driven and comfortable with long, complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
