D365 Finance Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Location: UK wide - Hybrid
Industry: Consulting – Enterprise Finance Transformation
My client is looking for an experienced D365 Finance Consultant to join our growing Microsoft practice, working on large-scale finance transformation programmes for enterprise and FTSE-level clients. This role sits at the centre of complex finance change, bridging finance teams and technical delivery and is suited to someone who enjoys solving real business problems, not just configuring systems.
You’ll be involved from early project stages through to go-live and post-implementation support, taking ownership of core finance workstreams and helping shape delivery standards across the practice.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting the design, configuration and deployment of D365 Finance & Operations across core finance modules
- Owning functional areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Budgeting
- Running workshops with senior finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into workable system designs
- Supporting data migration, reconciliations and testing cycles (SIT / UAT)
- Working closely with technical teams on integrations, reporting and security
- Providing hands-on support through go-live and hypercare phases
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations
- Strong functional understanding of core finance processes and controls
- Comfortable engaging with finance leaders, project teams and technical specialists
- Experience working in consulting or large-scale programme environments is preferred
You’ll be working on high-profile transformation projects with complex, global organisations, supported by a strong internal Microsoft community and clear progression pathways within a Big 4 environment.
