We are working with a leading global IT consultancy supporting a high-profile end-customer programme within the UK's Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). They are seeking an experienced Active Directory (ADDS) Design Specialist to lead the secure design and validation of enterprise-grade AD environments in highly restricted settings. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of identity, security, and resilience, shaping core directory services that underpin mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead design workshops with technical and security stakeholders to define ADDS configuration and architecture
- Produce High-Level Design (HLD) documentation covering security, resilience, and integration requirements
- Design, configure, and validate Proof of Concept (PoC) AD environments
- Provide expert guidance on AD security hardening, tiered administration models, and secure operational practices
- Advise on integration with Identity & Access Management (IdAM), Joiner/Mover/Leaver (JML), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Deep expertise in Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) architecture and security hardening
- Strong experience with tiered administration models and secure Group Policy (GPO) design
- Proven background integrating AD with IdAM, JML, and PAM platforms
- Hands-on experience producing HLD documentation and delivering PoC deployments
- Experience working in restricted or secure infrastructure environments, ideally within UK CNI
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior technical and security stakeholders
This will be a 6 month contract role working PAYE / Inside IR35 and you must be SC Cleared to be considered.
