We are looking for a Business Development Director with experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions to the public sector and central government, with expertise across Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP, F&O, CE, CRM), AI-enabled business applications, and end-to-end digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the public sector sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive market growth.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles for complex digital transformation projects, from opportunity identification and pre-sales engagement to deal closure.
- Sell Microsoft Business Applications including Dynamics 365 ERP (F&O), CRM (CE), and AI-enabled business applications.
- Manage and build strong relationships with central government, local authorities, and public sector stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with delivery and consulting teams to ensure proposals, solutions, and projects meet client requirements.
- Drive strategic account development, identifying new opportunities for digital transformation and AI-led business improvements.
- Represent the company at industry events, GDS forums, and public sector networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in senior sales or BD leadership roles selling complex enterprise solutions into public sector or central government.
- Strong understanding of GDS, government procurement frameworks, and public sector buying processes.
- Experience selling Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP F&O, CE, CRM), AI, cloud, and business applications.
- Track record of closing multi-million-pound enterprise deals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills at senior executive levels.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading high-performing sales and pre-sales teams.
