We are looking for a highly skilled Customer Support Engineer with an understanding of GE Smallworld GIS products. In this role, you will work closely with customers in a mission-critical, enterprise environment, supporting complex GIS implementations and ensuring platform stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise-scale Smallworld GIS applications.
- Analyze and resolve complex customer issues, ensuring timely resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose root causes, deliver fixes, and enhance system reliability.
- Install and configure Smallworld suites, including patches, updates, and third-party components.
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotation and handle after-hours support when necessary.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with GE Smallworld technologies: PNI, Core (SW4/SW5), EO, GDO, GTO, GSS, GSA, DM, MES, NRM, K8.
- Strong proficiency in Magik, Java, VMDS, Oracle.
- Solid grasp of SQL, shell scripting, system log analysis, and debugging techniques.
- Proven experience installing and configuring operating system patches, third-party software, and GE Smallworld product suites.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to customer support.
