In the fast-changing world where our clients deliver life-changing medicines and technology, Cognite’s dynamic team drives our mission of bringing science to life. As an independent agency, we create clear, compelling communications, focusing on the transformative therapies that are inspiring the future of healthcare and the highly complex diseases they treat.

Our Creative team is driven by imaginative thinking and expression, alongside first-class creative implementation, to demonstrate the power and value of creative communication. We are looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join our growing team. Working closely with the relevant creative project lead, colleagues from the wider Cognite team and third-party suppliers – as well as autonomously where required – you will help translate creative thinking and branding environments into effective and impactful digital communication across all required digital media and platforms.

You should consider yourself a brand guardian and champion of creative excellence across all aspects of digital design, providing professional guidance and driving improvements wherever possible. Reporting to the Creative Director you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering integrated digital design solutions across platforms, from concept through to execution, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Taking ownership of project outputs, aligning with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Translating complex clinical and scientific content into clear, engaging visual communication.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (creative, medical, strategy, development) to ensure alignment across concept, content and delivery.
  • Developing and presenting visual concepts, mock-ups and prototypes for client-facing work and pitches.
  • Creating and evolving design systems, visual territories and multi-channel assets for healthcare communications.
  • Adapting global toolkits for local markets while maintaining brand and compliance standards.
  • Contributing to improvements in digital approaches, creative output and team capability.
  • Maintaining strong attention to detail, ensuring scientific accuracy and consistency under pressure.

We believe someone with the following skill set and experience could be a good match for this role:

  • 4–6 years’ experience in a senior digital design role, ideally within healthcare.
  • Advanced Figma and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
  • Experience creating high-fidelity prototypes and working knowledge of front-end principles.
  • Understanding of motion design for digital content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating multi-channel digital work.
  • Solid grasp of brand systems and their application.
  • Clear communication style and confidence when presenting and articulating design decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, organised mindset and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

We believe every individual can make a positive difference; we put science at the core of everything we do; we embrace curiosity and courage to find solutions; we build lasting partnerships focused on shared goals; and we act with integrity and inclusivity in all our interactions.

Our benefits include:

  • Discretionary company bonus and incentive schemes.
  • Hybrid working (home-based + co-working space in Holborn, Central London).
  • Private healthcare.
  • Frequent social and team events.
  • 24 days’ holiday + bank holidays.
  • Company closure between Christmas and New Year.

If you are passionate about bringing science to life, then we would love to hear from you.
