We are looking for a Principal Medical Writer with experience writing for patients to join our growing team. You will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating an in-depth scientific knowledge of allocated accounts and using this to shape communications for our clients’ brands
  • \n

  • Developing scientific content, including patient and US direct-to-consumer (DTC) materials, for allocated accounts or workstreams
  • \n

  • Understanding and contributing to brand strategy and applying strategic thinking to all work
  • \n

  • Actively participating in client meetings and workshops, and taking the lead on scientific discussions with clients, medics and external experts
  • \n

  • Being seen by the client team as a trusted source of product and therapy area expertise
  • \n

  • Collaborating with internal colleagues and departments, including Client Services, Creative, Editorial and Strategy, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects
  • \n

  • Contributing to new business opportunities through written proposals and pitches
  • \n

  • Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment
  • \n

  • Experience writing for patient materials (essential) and US direct-to-consumer deliverables (essential)
  • \n

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant science (essential) or a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable)
  • \n

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • \n

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • \n
