We are looking for a Senior/Principal Medical Writer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for:
- Developing content for core promotional materials as well as wider commercial deliverables
- Developing in-depth scientific knowledge and using this to shape the brand messaging and content of deliverables
- Taking the lead on scientific discussions with healthcare professionals and external experts
- Developing content for a full range of projects with minimal supervision
- Contributing to scientific strategy, and ensuring messaging and content are aligned to the overall brand strategy
- Collaborating with internal colleagues, including account managers, creatives, editors and medical strategists, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects
- Sharing knowledge and providing expert guidance on brands and therapy areas to internal stakeholders
- Staying updated on industry trends, guidelines and best practices to inform and enhance the quality of our medical writing
- Contributing to business growth by proactively identifying opportunities, attending pitches and contributing to written proposals
With a deep interest in science and medical communications, we believe someone with the following experience could be a good match for this role:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant science (essential), or a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable)
- Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
