We work with leading global Pharmaceutical companies, the NHS and other healthcare providers to change the way patients manage their health. Patients view our award-winning programmes through our Healthinote web platform/app, on their smartphone, tablet, computer or VR headset.

What you will be doing

As an Account Director, you will be directly serving and working with our key clients (pharma, medtech, health providers and commissioners) to strategically plan, execute and assess the impact of digital programmes. You will build long-lasting and prosperous relationships with your clients, identifying areas for account growth and increased customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for these and other tasks:

  • Implementing creative and successful programmes in the UK and internationally
  • Developing trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and partners
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth and writing strategic proposals
  • Strategic account planning
  • Advocating and representing your clients to colleagues and partners
  • Running regular, efficient review meetings with clients
  • Producing client reports and providing insightful commentary
  • Steering the content productions teams at Cognitant to deliver high quality programmes according to client briefs and user needs, and within budget and resource constraints
  • Running an accurate revenue and cost recognition tracker for your commercial projects, controlling project profitability and resource allocation
  • Making recommendations to your clients to optimise programme results and surpass expectations

You will work closely with the following teams or roles to carry out your duties, delivering exceptional client service and programme results:

  • Client services director and account managers
  • Business developers
  • Medical writers and copywriters
  • Clinical and patient experts
  • Creative director and designers
  • 2D/3D artists and modellers
  • Software developers
  • External partners, such as clinical teams, patient advocacy groups, charities and regulatory bodies

Your success measures will be:

  • Client satisfaction

  • Number of projects achieving deadline

Is this you?

  • You’re a talented, versatile and commercially astute problem solver
  • You have considerable experience working in or with the healthcare sector (>5 years)
  • You have a track record of managing large, medium and small client accounts in the healthcare industry and delivering account growth
  • You are passionate about being part of your client’s team and representing their needs to a wide group of stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes
  • You are a natural project manager, having experience in running multiple large-scale projects at once and balancing resourcing needs to achieve intended outcomes
  • You are a confident and proactive decision maker and know how to pre-empt potential roadblocks or issues
  • You are comfortable working with a wide-range of stakeholders at a senior level
  • You build trust quickly and have a reputation for delivering successful solutions to meet clients’ needs
  • You are experienced in digital technology services
  • You have good analytical skills
  • You have excellent written communication and presentation skills and are proficient with PowerPoint, Excel & Word
  • You have a good understanding of industry regulations (PMCPA etc)
  • You have excellent leadership and communication skills
  • You can operate independently but are also a team player
  • You have a good understanding of industry trends and new technologies
  • You are extremely well organised and maintain a positive attitude throughout even challenging periods

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of experience

Role type and location

This is a 12-month fixed term contract for a full-time role based remotely. Our offices are in Oxford, UK, where occasional work will be required.

Benefits and pay

£50-60k salary + performance-related bonus. We are willing to consider part-time positions (eg 80% FTE).
