We seek a vibrant, well-qualified, and committed teacher of English to deliver lessons across both the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme to students aged 11-18. Experience of IB MYP and DP programmes is desirable but not essential. Suitably qualified and experienced applicants will also be considered for the role of Head of Department which comes with an additional annual payment. Interested applicants should clearly indicate if they are interested in this middle leadership role. We expect all staff to have high aspirations and expectations of themselves and our students. For the successful candidate, you will have an opportunity to join our friendly and enthusiastic school team and in return we offer a high quality professional development programme which is personalised to individual needs.
All our teachers offer a termly extra-curricular activity which should motivate, excite, and interest children. We welcome applications from experienced teachers who have worked in either the independent or state sector and/or internationally. We will only consider applicants who have the right to work in the UK.
Who we are looking for
The ability to teach English to an advanced level, up to IB Higher Level (or equivalent) and previous experience of IB programmes would be an advantage; however, above all, we are looking for a teacher with a genuine passion for English and the knowledge, enthusiasm, creativity and energy to inspire that same passion in their students.
