About the Role: As a Lunch Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils during the busy lunchtime period, helping to create a safe, calm, and positive environment. You will assist with the serving of meals, support children as they eat, and encourage good table manners and independence. You will also help supervise pupils in the dining hall, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider lunchtime team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the service while ensuring hygiene and allergy procedures are followed. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children’s daily school experience. This is a permanent, part-time role needed during Term Time only. Hours: 10am-1.30pm Mon-Fri (term-time – 34 weeks plus 5 days inset).

You will be a confident communicator, able to engage positively with pupils and colleagues, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have a caring and patient approach, alongside a strong sense of responsibility for safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. Reliability, good organisation, and a positive attitude towards learning and development are essential for success in this role.
