About the Role
We are recruiting an exceptional Teacher of French to teach the subject across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The position is for September 2026, part‑time (0.8 FTE) and permanent. Small classes, highly motivated students and a stunning setting in the heart of London contribute to making North Bridge House Senior Canonbury a special place to teach. Previous experience in the independent school sector is not required, but high expectations for children’s learning are essential.
Responsibilities
- Delivering high‑quality lessons that support the development of knowledge and understanding of students
- Supporting subject leaders in ensuring high‑quality lesson plans and schemes of work that engage and enrich students’ learning
- Reporting on internal and external assessments to help determine students’ progress and attainment
- Working with the Head of Year to support and deliver high‑quality pastoral care to students
- Supporting the faculty and whole school development priorities
- Undertaking appropriate supervision before school, at break, after school and at lunchtime as per the whole school duty rota
- Attending and engaging with continuous professional development sessions with key stakeholders to support the development of the best possible quality of teaching and learning
