Alleyn’s Regent’s Park successfully transitioned this September, welcoming pupils aged 4–13. The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Physics to join our fantastic team.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Physics teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons at Key Stages 4 and 5, alongside teaching general Science at Key Stage 3. The successful candidate will foster a strong understanding of physics concepts and scientific principles, supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in the wider life of the school, leading and contributing to enrichment activities, trips, and co‑curricular opportunities, as well as taking on the role of Form Tutor to provide high‑quality pastoral care and guidance. You will work both independently and collaboratively to plan and deliver lessons, monitor progress, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
This is a permanent, full‑time role with a September 2026 start date.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Physics specialist with a degree in Physics (or a related subject) and a relevant teaching qualification. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Physics and Science across the 11–18 age range and a strong track record of engaging a wide range of learners. You will bring excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Physics, with the ability to inspire students to take a scholarly approach to their studies. Experience in curriculum development and, ideally, a Form Tutor or similar pastoral role is desirable. You will have excellent communication skills, strong classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to adaptive teaching to maximise student progress. We are seeking a collaborative and reflective professional who values constructive feedback, works effectively as part of a team, and demonstrates reliability, integrity, and a good sense of humour.
