About the School - Breaside Orchard Road Located in Bromley, Kent, Breaside Preparatory School provides a rich learning environment for your son or daughter. About the Role We are looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to assist in providing a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment for children. The successful candidate will support pupils’ learning and development, including those with Special Educational Needs, working across both group and individual settings. You will work within the standards and requirements of the Primary Stage Curriculum, supporting planning and delivering activities in Maths and Literacy, and helping pupils of all attainment levels achieve their full potential. The role involves monitoring progress, adapting learning activities in consultation with the teacher or SENCo, and contributing to pupil achievement plans. You will also encourage engagement in learning, promote high expectations, self‑esteem and independence, and build positive relationships with pupils while acting as a role model and responding to individual needs. This is permanent, part-time with a September 2026 start date.

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A–C). The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a school setting and be confident in supporting the delivery of KS1 and KS2 English and Maths. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with teaching staff, pupils, and parents. A calm and professional approach is essential, along with the ability to work sensitively with children and adults in a range of situations. Strong organisational skills, intermediate IT skills (including Microsoft Office), and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team are also required.
