The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced 3D Technician to join our fantastic team.
About the Role:
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to support the teaching of 3D Design and Art. The role offers the opportunity to share your artistic skills while assisting teachers with lesson preparation and delivery. The successful candidate should have a good general education, and ideally professional training or relevant experience in 3D Visual Arts. You will support the Visual Arts Department, which teaches students from Year 7 to Year 13 across subjects including 3D Design, Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking, Textiles, and Food Technology. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with classroom tasks
- Creating displays
- Supporting exhibitions including the end-of-year student show
- Promoting student engagement in the arts
The role requires a team player who can contribute to a creative, collaborative, and supportive learning environment. This is a part-time role, needed 2 days a week with an immediate start available.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a secondary education setting and as part of a busy team. They will be computer literate, with good ICT skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, and hold GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4/C (or equivalent), with GCSE Art or 3D/Design & Technology preferred. The role requires Health & Safety training in some or all of the following areas: COSHH (chemicals), manual handling, workshop safety, and kiln operation, along with a sound knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Excellent organisational and planning skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, and strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
