About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled SEO Executive to drive the growth and visibility of our UK schools online. The SEO Executive will lead and execute SEO initiatives across multiple schools, ensuring our schools maintain a strong and competitive presence across Google search results and emerging AI-driven search platforms such as ChatGPT. This role focuses on technical optimisation and the creation of high-quality content that enhances brand authority and improves search engine visibility. The ideal candidate will closely monitor changes to Google's algorithm and identify new opportunities to strengthen organic performance. They will track SEO results against KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Lead, the SEO Executive will work collaboratively with specialist digital teams across Cognita - including the SEO Specialist, web team, and web developers - to deliver best-in-class SEO outcomes.
This is a Permanent, full time position. Hybrid role working 3 days a week in our Central London Office.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical SEO expertise, including knowledge of site architecture, crawling, indexing, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals such as loading speed. They will have a solid understanding of on-page SEO, with experience optimising meta tags, headings, URLs, and internal linking, supported by strong copywriting skills. Excellent analytical abilities are essential, enabling the translation of SEO performance data into clear, actionable insights. Highly organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, the candidate will work effectively with various teams and stakeholders to deliver projects successfully. They will have proven experience across both technical and content SEO, be skilled in using tools such as SEMrush and Google Analytics/Search Console, and be confident in presenting performance insights to stakeholders to help shape and inform the wider SEO strategy.
