About the Role
As SENDCo at Salcombe Prep, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an ambitious, inclusive and high‑quality learning experience for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will lead the strategic direction of SEND and EAL provision across the school, ensuring that systems, interventions and teaching reflect strong practice, early identification and clear pathways of support. You will work closely with teachers, Learning Support Assistants, parents and external specialists to ensure every pupil receives tailored, effective provision that helps them thrive academically and socially. With a reduced teaching timetable, you will have dedicated time to deliver targeted interventions, observe classroom practice and guide colleagues. Your work will ensure the school maintains strong alignment with the SEND Code of Practice and wider statutory expectations while fostering a culture of collaboration, expertise and genuine inclusion. This is a permanent, full‑time role with a September 2026 start.
