As part of this partnership, North Bridge House Regent’s Park Prep and North Bridge House Hampstead are becoming Alleyn’s schools. Alleyn’s Regent’s Park successfully transitioned this September, welcoming pupils aged 3–11. Alleyn’s Hampstead will follow in September 2026, offering an exceptional education for pupils aged 2–18 and bringing the distinctive Alleyn’s ethos of academic excellence, creativity, and care to north London.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Librarian to join our fantastic team.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Librarian to join Alleyn’s Hampstead Senior team. In this role you will have the opportunity to promote the joy of reading and scholarship by being responsible for the development, management and promotion of the Senior School Library ensuring its effectiveness as a learning resource and information service which supports both pupils and teachers. You will also have the opportunity to ensure that the library becomes the hub of scholarship within the school and is used effectively by pupils and academic departments.

We are looking for an experienced Librarian, who is passionate about their specialty. The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Ability to encourage young people of different abilities to engage in reading for pleasure and their own development.
  • Ability to inspire young people to adopt a scholarly approach to their study of different subjects.
  • Experience of working with children to develop their interest in academic scholarship.
  • Experience of engaging a wide range of learners in a constructive way.
  • Experience of creating authentic opportunities for students to engage in research (e.g. EPQ).

Above all, we are seeking a Librarian who is passionate in their specialty and are keen to engage individuals of all learning capacity in academia and reading.
